An experienced, knowledgeable and highly capable Accountant, who is hardworking and committed to providing high quality work and advice to her much valued clients, many of who moved with her to Parker Accounting. Caroline started her accounting career in 2000 at the former Davern Dixon Chartered Accountants for her first 10 years, before moving on to gain further valuable experience at two other reputable accounting firms, including Deloitte.
Caroline started at Parker Accounting in May 2012. Due to her experience, technical tax knowledge and sound problem solving skills, she has made a valuable contribution to our firm. Caroline is also the internal IT person for our offices located in Northern Tasmania, which has involved her taking on the role of Practice Champion for MYOB, Xero and other accounting software, as well as looking after all of our other IT requirements, in partnership with our external IT contractor for our offices in the north of the state.
Caroline has always had a strong interest and ability in commerce related academia. She commenced university with a Tertiary Entrance score of 97 (maximum then 100). In 2004, Caroline completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree (University of Tasmania) majoring in Accounting and Human Resource Management, and was admitted to the UTAS Dean’s Roll of Excellence. In 2005, she became an Associate member of CPA Australia. Caroline is an active member of the CPA through her long-term regular attendance at CPA continuing professional development events, and is also a regular member of the Launceston CPA Public Practice Discussion Group and the CPA Industry Discussion Group. Caroline also has a professional membership with The Tax Institute. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is interested in music, card crafts and walking.
